Many thanks to every one who came to the Flagstaff Hamfest! We hope you enjoyed yourselves and learned a little bit more about our amazing hobby. We were pleased with the turnout.

This couldn’t have happened without a lot of hard work on the part of many club members. A special shout out needs to go to our hamfest committee chair, Mike H. – W7QS, for his vision and leadership throughout the planning and implementation of the hamfest. Bob W. -NF7E worked on signage, making many himself, and having others professionaly made compliments of our local Pepsi distributor. In addition, Bob contacted many vendors in his quest to have more door prizes than any other hamfest in Arizona. Bob was joined by his daughter Wendy and grandson Ryan on the day of the hamfest to provide much needed help. Ron G. – KG7OH designed and revised our flier, and brought ideas and enthusiasm to our planning meetings. Larry G. – WB7EUJ also brought ideas to the planning. Ken H. – W7SS pitched in on planning and managed the finances, ensuring we finished the hamfest in the black. Ken also provided computer, PA, and shuttle support during the hamfest. Assisting Ken were his sons Zak and John, and daughter-in-law Elisa. Lou A. – W7KFT designed and maintained our web site to provide communications on the many details that we thought people who were planning to come would need to know.

Many other club members contributed to putting the hamfest together in both planning, and day-of implementation, including:

Tom KG7DKN, Jon KJ7OOR, Harry KK7IUJ, Keith KR7RK, Jack NT7MM, Dave W7FYW, Larry WB7EUJ, Mark WB8VWC.

In addition to club members, we got a lot of support from family and friends, including Suzanne, Wendy, Ryan, Zak, Elise, John, Janice, and many others!

We really appreciated the help we received from Scout Master Hiring and troop 142!

We are grateful to ARCA for being an official partner for the hamfest, and for the support of many great presenters, who came to Flagstaff to share their wealth of knowledge and experience. The workshops were very popular and we received much positive feedback. Thank you presenters for your contribution to our Ham community and the success of the hamfest!

Last but certainly not least, we’d like to thank our many sponsors who helped with prizes, cash, and in-kind donations. You are all very much appreciated!
